Richard trained at the London Centre for Theatre Studies in the late 1990s followed by ongoing training in NZ in the Meisner technique under Mike Saccente.
He has had a wide range of stage roles from Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, J K Baxter in Horseplay, Judas in Corpus Christi to Austin in Sam Shepherd's True West. Roles on the small screen include Xena and This is Not Your Life.
Richard has also had lead roles in a number of feature films as well as Roseanne Liang's award winning short film Take Three. In Good for Nothing he plays Will who is The Sheriff's sidekick, and is one of the few good guys in the film.
